Getting There

The ‘Convention Centre Car Park’ is owned and operated by the City of Perth. This 1,500-bay car park is accessible via Mill Street, Mounts Bay Road and the Riverside Drive off-ramp of the Mitchell Freeway. Access is restricted to cars and motorcycles with a maximum clearance of 2.1 metres. No trailers are permitted. Payment for parking can be made by cash, or all major credit cards and EFTPOS.

Please note there are no service lifts from the carpark, all unloading and loading of materials is via the loading dock.

By Bus
Bus stands closest to PCEC are located in the Elizabeth Quay Busport adjacent to PCEC.. Weekday services run every 5–15 minutes from 6:50am to 6:20pm WST. Please refer to the Transperth website at, for further information, including timetables and maps.

By Taxi
The main drop off and pick up location is via the Plaza entry adjacent to the Adina Apartment Hotel Perth and provides direct access to Level 1. A Taxi Spot phone is located at the level 1 Plaza entry door to PCEC. The Taxi Spot number is 1088. Alternatively, taxis may be called on:

The closest train station is the ‘Elizabeth Quay Train Station’ (Corner of William St and The Esplanade).

Venue Operations

Ceiling Heights

Pavilion 1: 11-15m, Pavilion 2: 9.5-13.5m, Pavilion 3: 9-12.5m, Pavilion 4: 8.5-12m, Pavilion 5: 8.5-12m, Pavilion 6: 9.5-14.5m. Ceiling heights in each pavilion vary due to the curvature of the roofline.

Stand Construction

Engineering approval must be obtained from a structural engineer for any stand that is a multiple storey construction over 2.4m, or contains a roof/ceiling with an area greater than 18m2. All raised floors, steps and ramps must comply with the relevant sections of the Building Code of Australia and applicable OHS requirements.

Goods Lift

There are no service lifts from the carpark, all unloading and loading of materials for events is via the loading dock.

Naked flames or candles

All events and functions where lit candles / incense sticks / sparklers are to be used must gain written approval from Exhibitor Services. Approval should be sought not less than 20 Business Days prior to the Commencement Date. The Centre may restrict the number of lit candles used in an Event in order to reduce any potential fire risk. Please discuss your requirements with Exhibitor Services. Any damage or special cleaning required due to candle wax spills will be at the exhibitor’s expense.

Water and drainage

Clients and exhibitors may request supply of potable water and drainage within pavilions. Charges apply for provision of these services, and consumption. Stands located over wet pits will require a raised floor of 150mm to ensure pipes can run underneath the stand to the designated wet pit and not through their stand. Clients and exhibitors must comply with relevant health and / or environmental legislation at all times.

Emergency Procedures

The building is equipped with automatic sprinkler, smoke detectors and break glass alarm systems, which have a direct link to the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of WA. Where necessary instructions can be issued over the Emergency Warning and Intercom System (EWIS) to assist in coordination of an evacuation and/or passage of information. For fire and medical emergencies, dial extension 80334 on the nearest internal telephone or 08 9338 0334 on your mobile. Give your name, location and nature of emergency.

@Liberty Café and Bar is located on Level 2 of PCEC and offers light meals, coffee, and beverages. Operating hours for the Café vary in response to event schedules. The Metro Bar and Bistro in the Adina Hotel is located opposite the Level 1 front entrance of PCEC. Nearby is the Brookfield Plaza located at the base of the BHP tower. The City Centre is also a 5 minute walk from the PCEC.
