
Associate Professor Dr Eric Lilford
Dr. Eric Lilford is an engineer and minerals-and-energy economist with over 30 years of international experience in senior roles across investment banking, mining, energy, and engineering. With advanced degrees in engineering and mineral economics—including a PhD focusing on mathematical modelling of derivatives—he has spent 15 years in investment banking, working in corporate and specialised finance, as well as commodity analysis. His expertise lies in the economics of both conventional and unconventional energy, clean energy (including renewables and nuclear), and the interpretation of resource-sector legislation. Dr. Lilford currently serves on fiscal expert panels for the IMF, World Bank, and IGF (IISD).
