Leticia Chamelete de Vilhena is the Superintendent Water Technical & Compliance at BHP Iron Ore, based in Perth. With more than 20 years of experience across water infrastructure, operations, environmental management and complex program delivery, she has worked across the mining, government, engineering and research sectors. Leticia holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and currently leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for water management strategies, technical governance and risk controls across Western Australia Iron Ore. She is passionate about translating technical complexity into practical outcomes, strengthening water stewardship and building inclusive, accountable teams that deliver lasting value.
